Having completed her time as a 4-H’er and member of South Putnam FFA, Adrianna Clifford has garnered another distinction as president of the board of directors of the Indiana Junior Livestock Association (IJLA).

She was recently elected to the position after serving on the board since last February.

Clifford said she has been showing since she was little more than a year old, and thus has a strong background in livestock showmanship.

During her showing career before she became involved with the association, Clifford won 4-H’s national horse judging contest in 2016 as part of a team, and also placed second individually during that event.

She also served as the Indiana Spot Queen for two years, as well as competed in many FFA leadership contests at the state level.

Clifford says that during her one-year term, she will focus on traveling and spreading the word about the organization and its mission, as well as encouraging membership, awareness and participation.

The IJLA is an all-species organization that focuses on youth with a passion for beef, boer goats, sheep and swine, according to its Facebook page description.

Incoming North Putnam senior Grace Fry also serves in the association as a committee member.

Clifford is a junior at the University of Indianapolis, and is studying criminal justice with a minor in child and youth programs.
