Gov. Eric Holcomb ceremonially signs State Rep. Beau Baird’s bill into law Thursday at the Statehouse. The new law will help Hoosier farmers fight harmful and invasive weeds. Farmers are battling herbicide-resistant super weeds that require expensive specialized treatment plans to eradicate. The noxious weeds law ensures these plants are identified quickly, saving the state and farmers money. House Enrolled Act 1492 is the Greencastle Republican’s first authored legislation to become law since he took office. It goes into effect July 1.
