Gerald LeRoy Archer

Gerald LeRoy Archer, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1935 in Terre Haute to Violet (Poindexter) Archer and Guy Archer.

He attended Gerstmeyer Technical High School.

Gerald married Nancy Jean Starkey on Oct. 30, 1954.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pamela (Lonaker) Morrison.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Starkey) Archer and six daughters, Jennifer Butler of Terre Haute, Kathy Priest of Virginia Beach, Va., Linda Apple and Kelly von Tress of Greencastle and Michele Madole and Angie Yenchek of Las Vegas, Nev. Living siblings include brother Ronald Archer and sister Judy Mishler of Phoenix, Ariz.

Gerald and Nancy are the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place at the American Legion in Greencastle from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, July 6.
