Lacey (Couch) Uplinger

Lacey A. (Couch) Uplinger, 33, of Dana, was called home by our Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute.

Lacey graduated from Greencastle High School in 2004. She was a manager at Charlie’s Pizza in Dana. The owner, Guy (Joy) Winters, and her coworkers were her extended family.

Lacey was a bright light to so many, touching so many lives — greeting everyone with a big smile and infectious giggle. The heavens are truly receiving a special angel.

Her greatest blessing and joy in life was being Addison’s mom.

Lacey is survived by her daughter Addison Hazelet of O’Fallon, Mo.; parents Paul (Mary) Thompson of Greencastle, brother Dillon Couch of Plainfield; stepsisters Jeanette Asher of North Carolina and Rachael Thompson of Indianapolis; life partner Travis Coughlin of Dana; aunts and uncles Jay (Tara) Buzzard of Warren, Brian Buzzard of Warren, Larry (Rise) Buzzard of Huntington, Shelley Brooks of Warren, Jan (Jan) Tinkle of Marion, Laura Buzzard of Huntington, Steve (LeAnn) Buzzard of Warren, Linda (Gale) Evrard of Warren, John (Bethany) Thompson of Tennessee, Mike (Laura) Thompson of Lafayette and Mark Thompson of San Diego; and grandmother Diane Thompson of Avon.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Martha and Jack Buzzard and Robert Thompson.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

A private celebration of life will be held for Lacey at a later date with her family.
