Rea Jo Cannon

Rea Jo Cannon, 80, of Indianapolis, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019.

She was born Feb. 25, 1939 in Greencastle, the daughter of Mildred (Lydick) and Lester VonTress and was a 1957 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Rea had retired as a loan officer from First Citizens Bank and started a career in real estate. She had recently worked as an associate with Walmart. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and American Legion.

She is survived by her children, Jeannetta Bunch and husband Steven Harrell, Kerry Noll and wife Jenny, Mary Minton and Jim Noll and partner Sara Smith; grandchildren A.J. Smith, Jeremy Smith, Brittany Cooper, Brandy Ames, Herb Brohn, Jacob Noll, Nicholas Noll, Sahara Noll, Taven Noll, Cody Smith and Trevor Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers Roland James Cavin, John VonTress and wife Kathy and Jerry VonTress; sister Teresa VonTress and husband Kenneth Lockerman; daughter-in-law Julie Noll; and sister-in-law Joyce Cavin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jerald Noll, husband Ben Cannon and brothers Ronald Dean Cavin and Royce Cavin.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 5 at the Forest Hill Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held following the graveside service at the home of Brandy and Kole Ames, 5865 E. State Road 240 Greencastle.
