Brazil band replaying patriotic show July 7

Due to heavy rain and high winds which forced many to stay home Sunday, the Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew Huber, will replay “The All-American Patriotic Salute” on July 7 at 8 p.m. in Forest Park.

This red, white and blue salute to the United States will include “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Fugue on Yankee Doodle” arranged by John Philip Sousa, “National Emblem March” by Edward E. Bagley, “Columbia: Grand Patriotic Potpourri” by George Barnard, “America” by John Cacavas and “American Civil War Fantasy” by Jerry Bilik.

The BCB will also present “America First: A March of the States,” written during World War I by Lt. Commander Sousa, “Bugler’s Holiday” by Leroy Anderson, “Victory at Sea” arranged by Robert Russell Bennett, “The Homefront: Musical Memories from World War II” arranged by James Christensen, “The Fourth of July” by Cacavas and Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

The concession stand will be operated by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary featuring chicken and noodles.
