Putnam Scanner for July 3, 2019

One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail on Monday.

• At 4:17 p.m. Joshua Lee Doane, 36, Poland, was lodged at the jail for aggressive driving and reckless driving.

City Police

Greencastle Police officers issued one recent citation.

• At 10:16 p.m. Oswald Soans, 53, Bainbridge, was ticketed by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stopped on Zinc Mill Road, Soans was cited for driving with expired plates.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch:

• At 7:50 p.m. on Monday, GFD responded to a reported unauthorized burn at 1216 S. Bloomington St. Units arrived at the property at 7:56 to find that a small fire was burning. The fire was legal as it was considered outside of the city limits. GFD returned to station at 8:05 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed two medical assists after this dispatch.
