Summer scrapbook

The Greencastle Youth League 6U baseball all-star team recently won the USSSA state tournament. Earlier this year, five teams of lady bowlers from 3G Bowl in Greencastle competed in the Indiana Women’s State Championship in Terre Haute. The Bowling Beauties (clockwise from upper left: Vicki Crouch, Patty Sprinkle, Danielle Bassett and Robin Bassett) won Division 2 of the tournament with a score of 2,817. League spokesman Lucille Liebert noted that the other three teams all placed in the top 20 in Division 2. “That is a very good accomplishment for our local bowlers,” Liebert said. “Bowling is a great sport, a great way to socialize with friends and get exercise at the same time. Come join a league this fall when the new season begins on Aug. 11 at 3G Bowl.”
