Community Foundation announces fall grant cycle

Friday, July 12, 2019

The Putnam County Community Foundation has announced that it is accepting applications for the fall cycle of Community Grants and Endowment Builder Grants.

All 501(c)(3) nonprofits, churches and units of government serving Putnam County citizens are eligible to apply for grant funding.

Preliminary applications are being accepted through Aug. 1 at 5 p.m. A link to the online applications can be found on the Community Foundation website at www.pcfoundation.org/grant_forms.html and then clicking the Apply Now button.

Community Grant applications are simple snapshots of a proposed project, its impact and basic information about the organization. All applicants are encouraged to work with Community Foundation staff in preparing their application to be sure it meets eligibility requirements, though this is not required.

Endowment Builder Grants are available to help local nonprofits with beginning or building an endowment at the Community Foundation. This matching grant opportunity can provide up to a one-dollar match for every two dollars that an organization raises for its endowment during the grant period.

“These are great opportunities for our local nonprofits to finish out the year strong,” said Dean Gambill, PCCF community development director. “We are especially looking for new, creative, collaborative projects that will improve lives of Putnam County residents and life in Putnam County.”

These grants are made possible through contributions, both cash and planned estate gifts, from visionary donors who want to make a difference in Putnam County.

For questions about the grants program or how to start an endowment, contact Gambill at 653-4978.
