Putnam Scanner for July 27, 2019

Four people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 9:16 p.m. Clint Joseph Byrd, 22, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 12:56 p.m. Macy Alan Fordice, 33, Russellville, was taken into custody on a local warrant and on a writ of body attachment.

• At 12:30 p.m. Charles C. Logsclen, 55, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for public intoxication.

• At 12:13 p.m. Paul Edward Harlan, 56, Terre Haute, was booked in for theft.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

• At 11:53 a.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to an electric bicycle accident with injuries at the intersection of 10th Street and Ridgeland Road. Units arrived on the scene at 11:55 and assisted Operation Life with caring for the patient. GFD went back into service at 12:06 p.m.

• At 1:35 a.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 601 Anderson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 1:41 and determined that the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 1:50 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed five medical assists during this time.
