Nominations for 2019 Cloverdale Civic Award open though Aug. 21

Monday, August 12, 2019

Nominations are now being accepted for this year’s Cloverdale Civic Award.

The award is sponsored by the Cloverdale Lions Club, and it will be presented to an individual who has made a positive difference in the Cloverdale community. The winner will have their name engraved on the permanent plaque that is on display in the Cloverdale Town Hall, and will also receive a plaque of their own.

There are many people in the Cloverdale area who donate much of their time and treasure to help make Cloverdale a special place to live. The Cloverdale Lions Club has seen a need to recognize these individuals, and to encourage others to become involved.

Past winners of the award include Lisa Baker, Larry Haltom, Donna Fidler, Todd Lewis, Dewey Garrett, Norv Gottula, Rod Garrett, Bob Hostetter, Jeff Rich, Bill Henson, Adeline Knoy, Vera Hughes, Eric Hayman, Wayne Sutherlin, Judy Whitaker, Keith Ernst, Don Walton, Jack Davis, Mona Smith, Joyce Johnson, Kerry Shepherd, Lita Sandy, Kay Gedert and Rosemary Davis.

Nominations may be submitted until noon on Wednesday, Aug. 21. They can be mailed to Todd Lewis, c/o Cloverdale Lions Club, 75 Anna St., Cloverdale, IN 46120, or they can be turned in at any office of First National Bank. Nominations may be sent on either a nomination form or written on a plain piece of paper.
