Above and Beyond

Monday, August 19, 2019
With a motorist stranded along the side of U.S. 36 Sunday evening, Deputy Randy Patrick of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department fuels up the vehicle. While officers are called upon to help in a variety of ways, sometimes the job requires going a little above and beyond the call of duty. This was the case Sunday, as the caller told dispatchers she was out of gas and had no money for a tow truck. Patrick sprung into action, stopping by his home to pick up a gas can and then filling it in Bainbridge using his own money. Patrick was able to get a few gallons of fuel in the woman’s car so she could make her way home.

  • You never see the good deeds officers do. But let it be something not to a persons liking they call them all kinds of names. This is great actions by the deputy/

    Thank you for your service.
