DePauw construction update Aug. 19-23

As DePauw University continues a series of construction projects on campus, streets remain restricted or closed around campus.

The following is an update for the week of Aug. 19-23:

• College Avenue is two-way south of Olive Street due to construction that will close the Olive Street intersection. The two-way traffic pattern will continue until further notice.

• Olive Street Closed from Locust to Indiana.

• The Olive Street and College Avenue intersection will remain closed until further notice.

• Indiana Street is closed between Hanna and the Julian parking lot entrance.

• Fencing has gone up between Julian and Lilly, with work beginning later this week.

  • Why in the world did DePauw wait so long to start all of this construction? They have had all summer to do this. Nothing like waiting until the last minute when the students are back. Not a very intelligent decision.
