Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, Anna D. Tarrh, 35, Rockville, was westbound on U.S. 36 approaching U.S. 231 in a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. Taylor J. Standefur, 2, Stilesville, was southbound on U.S. 231 approaching the intersection in a 2012 GMC Sierra.

Upon the arrival of Deputy Daniel Birt, Tarrh told him the collision was her fault. She said she saw a green light and then looked away from the road to talk to her daughter. When she looked back, the light was red but she could not stop.

Standefur told Birt she had the green light and entered the intersection at approximately 50 mph.

Standefur’s truck hit the right rear portion of Tarrh’s, spinning Tarrh’s truck around.

Both vehicles were towed. Despite the damage to the vehicles, no injuries were reported.

Birt estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.
