Evah June Knisley

Evah June Knisley, 101, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019.

She was born June 21, 1918 in Delta, Colo., the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Holbrook) Hobbs.

Evah had retired after 30 years from teaching school. She had taught several of those years in San Ysidro, Calif.

She was member of the Splitlog Baptist Church in Splitlog, Mo.

She was loved and will be missed by her daughter, Karen (husband William) LaFoe; son, Alan (wife Christina) Knisley; four grandchildren, Sarah (husband Jacob) Rohder, Anne (husband Will) Bartlett, Carol (husband Ryan) Vinton and Madeline Knisley; and seven great-grandchildren, Kendra, Samuel, Elizabeth, Graden, Ayla, Henry and Juliet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Knisley, in 1971; a daughter, Elaine Knisley; three brothers; and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until time of service.

Interment will be held on Friday, Sept. 20 at the Glen Abbey Cemetery in Bonita, Calif.
