Gloria kicks off 2019 Kelly Writers Series

Having published his latest book of poetry earlier this year, DePauw University Professor of English Eugene Gloria will read from the collection to kick off the 2019 Kelly Writer Series.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Peeler Auditorium.

While “Sightseer in This Killing City” is his latest collection, Gloria is the author of three previous books — “My Favorite Warlord” (2012), “Hoodlum Birds” (2006) and “Drivers at the Short-Time Motel” (2000).

He is the recipient of a Poetry Society of America award, a Pushcart Prize and a 2013 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award.
