County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 3:14 a.m. Randal David Harper, 41, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

Sunday

• At 1:01 p.m. Kayleb Michael Thomas Brissey, 25, Brownsburg, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 9:49 a.m. Scott Timothy Lyons, 24, New Palestine, was booked in for driving with a Schedule I or II substance in the body.

Saturday

• At 5:04 p.m. Christopher M. Caldwell, 37, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for theft.

• At 1:43 p.m. Richard John Hudson, 45, Roachdale, was taken into custody on a warrant for nonsupport of a dependent.

• At 1:17 a.m. Nicole Marie Sims, 31, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a Marion County warrant.

• 12:22 a.m. Amber Rochelle Brock, 34, Staunton, was booked in on a local warrant.

Friday

• At 9:01 p.m. Cary Williams Buchanan, 45, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a Clay County warrant.

• At 11:52 a.m. Larry Patterson Jr., 39, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a Marion County warrant.

• At 11:20 a.m. Dustin Michael Lappin, 28, Clayton, was housed at the jail for theft.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police.

• At 1:54 p.m. Sunday, Anthony Leonard, 23, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten.

The incident began on South College Avenue where a reportedly intoxicated Leonard was observed and picked up by police.

He was initially taken to Putnam County Hospital but was later lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

Two recent citations were issued by city officers.

• At 7:46 p.m. Saturday, Sean Harris, 41, Indianapolis, was cited by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Stopped on Percy Julian Drive, Harris was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

• At 11:25 p.m. Sept. 23, Cody Southgate was cited by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on Veterans Memorial Highway, Southgate was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 7:38 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, Justin B. Deal, 33, Brazil, was northbound on Manhattan Road in a 2003 Jeep Liberty.

Deal told Deputy Kyle Lee he rounded a corner and crossed into the southbound lane before leaving the roadway and entering a ditch on the west side of the road.

The Jeep was heavily damaged. Deal told Lee he thought low tire pressure or perhaps a blowout contributed to losing control.

The vehicle was towed. Lee estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

• At 10:32 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 413 S. Locust St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10:33 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 10:43 p.m.

• At 12:12 a.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to 109 W. Hanna St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:18 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 12:24 a.m.

• At 2:37 a.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to Rescare Homecare for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 2:40 but could not determine the cause of the alarm. The alarm was reset. GFD left at 2:52 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed two medical assists and had three disregards during this time.
