Following months of uneven pavement, workers from Feutz Contractors Inc., Paris, Ill., lay down the smooth topcoat of asphalt on Indianapolis Road Wednesday just west of Percy Julian Drive, the east end of work that stretches to the main entrance of Kroger. With this job performed on Tuesday and Wednesday, work began on traffic control markings Thursday. The revised completion date of the $1,161,773 project — which involves widening the road to three lanes and adding sidewalks on both sides — is the end of October.
