Jackie Jean Jackson

Jackie Jean Jackson, 83, Greencastle, transitioned on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019.

She was born to the late Willie Sligh and Lucy L. (Cartwright) Brousard on April 1, 1936.

Jackie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was loved among her community and was a hard-working, dedicated employee of Lear Corporation, retiring from there in 2007.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lucy; her sisters, Willa Mae Robinson and Virginia Sligh; her child, Jennifer Jackson; and grandchildren Dietrich, Mikah, Timothy and Alyssa.

She is survived by her children, Vincent Sligh, Angela Paige, Treva Jackson and Kent Jermaine Jackson; her sister, Alice Sligh; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. with viewing from 11 a.m. at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, 305 Simpson St. Rev. Robert Wilson will be officiating.
