Russellville Halloween event set for Saturday

RUSSELLVILLE — The annual Russellville Community Center Halloween is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26.

Serving of the evening meal will begin at 5 p.m. The menu consists of chili, potato soup, coneys, hot dogs, sloopy joes, fish, tenderloin, french fries, nachos and cheese, potato chips, homemade desserts and drinks.

Registration for the masquerade is scheduled from 5:30-6:45 p.m.

Categories for the costume prizes are: Best Character, Best Halloween Character, Animal, Prettiest, Ugliest, Best Couple or Group, Most Original and Miscellaneous.

Ten cash winners per category will be awarded. There will also be a one $50 grand prize winner and a $25 reserve prize winner.

Winners will be announced starting at 7 p.m.

This year the carnival games begin at 6 p.m. An old country store will also be available.

Professional photographer Cathy Jones will be on site to take youngsters’ pictures.

Door prizes will be given every half hour and you do not have to be present to win. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
