Mary Frances Horn Flint

Mary Frances Horn Flint, 96, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. She had resided in Morton, Ill., and Tremont, Ill., for the past seven years.

She was born March 15, 1923 in Belle Union to Howard Joesph and Elda Emerald Ray Horn.

She was preceded in death by husband Burl D. Flint, brother Piercy Horn and son Jerry Stringer.

Surviving are a daughter Judy Stringer Martin (Herschel “Bud” Martin), two stepdaughters, three grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Belle Union High School in 1941.

Mary worked in several restaurants and Putnam County Frozen Foods. She and her husband owned and worked in Waffle Houses of Indiana.

Cremation has been accorded. There will not be services per her wishes.

Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery at a later date.
