City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

• At 12:54 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 413 S. Locust St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:56 and were advised that maintenance had reset the alarm. The cause of the alarm could not be determined. GFD left at 1 p.m.

• At 4:41 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 330 Greenwood Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:43 and determined the alarm was due to smoking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 4:53 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed two medical assists between these dispatches and had two disregards afterward.
