Greencastle School Board seeks applicants for new city Human Relations Committee

Thursday, November 14, 2019

The Greencastle City Council has asked the Greencastle School Board to make two appointments to the new Human Relations Commission being formed.

As such, the school board is seeking applicants who might be interested in representing the board on the commission.

The purposes of this commission are to assist the city attorney with ensuring the city is ADA compliant, advocate for people with mental or physical challenges and to support diversity and inclusion in the city.

Since the commission is just forming, the appointments will consist of a one-year term position and a three-year term position. These inaugural appointments will be instrumental in determining how and when the commission does its business.

Anyone residing in the city of Greencastle, Greencastle Township or Madison Township is welcome to apply to Superintendent Jeff Hubble at GCSC Central Office, 1002 Mill Pond Lane, Greencastle, IN, 46135. Applications are due by Dec. 1.

The board hopes to make its appointments at its Dec. 16 meeting.
