Elizabeth Ann Smith

Elizabeth Ann Smith, 84, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Elizabeth was born in Owen County on Feb. 5, 1935, the daughter of Chester R. and Emma (Everly) Bonnewell.

She was a graduate of Patricksburg High School.

Mrs. Smith worked for many years with Hook’s Drug Store as a pharmacy tech. She attended Hanna Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Larry Smith and wife June, Donald Smith and Michael Smith and wife Krista; a brother, John Bonnewell and wife Debbie; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Bonnewell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and William Bonnewell; and an infant grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Tuesday.
