Cloverdale FFA does well at forestry, entomology contests

The Cloverdale FFA chapter recently competed at the District V forestry and entomology contests last week.

In the high school division of forestry, both of the Cloverdale FFA teams qualified for the state placing third and fifth in the district contest.

The team which placed third was made up on Micheala Nees (third place individual), Hailee Young, Sadie Priest and Max Kaufman. The fifth-place team was Chloe Smith, Gabby Roberts, Emily Sims and Audrie Fulkerson.

Also advancing to the state competition in forestry was Kadawn Gao as a middle school individual. Gayle Baugh is advancing on to the state competition for entomology as a high school individual.

The state FFA/4-H competition will be held at Purdue University on Saturday, Dec. 14.
