Lou Ella Hendrich

Lou Ella Hendrich, 90, born Jan. 18, 1929, passed away at Mill Pond Health Care on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 with her family by her side.

She was a lifelong resident of Fillmore, and graduated from Fillmore High School in 1947.

She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Fillmore Methodist Church.

Her four sons were her greatest joy in life, which brought her four hand-picked daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lou Ella was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Oran Zenor and Charles Donavon Hendrich, son Charles Merrill Hendrich and parents Wendell and Louise Smith.

She is survived by three sons, Stanley David Zenor and wife Margie of Bonita Springs, Fla.; Robert Clarke Hendrich and wife Sherri of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Jonathan Lee Hendrich and wife Sandy of Brazil. Grandchildren include Sara Zenor Kim and husband Thaddeus of Virginia, Caleb Hendrich of Colorado, Connor Hendrich of Wisconsin, Silas Hendrich of North Carolina and Jacob Hendrich and Evan Hendrich of Indiana; and four great-grandchildren, Josephine Kim, Ty Kim, Jay Kim and William Kim of Virginia.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
