Six people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Tuesday

• At 3:08 a.m. Sampson Michael Cook, 29, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for driving with a suspended license.

• At 3:03 a.m. William Edward Bolton, 43, Indianapolis, was booked in for nonsupport of a dependent and on two counts of contempt of court.

Monday

• At 12:10 p.m. Shelby Ciera Darlene Casteel, 26, Fillmore, was lodged at the jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 9:43 a.m. Deandre M. Shaffer, 27, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license.

• At 9:33 a.m. John D. Pastrick, 25, Brazil, was housed at housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 8:35 a.m. Derek Lee Livingston, 38, Greenwood, was booked in for being a felon carrying a handgun, possession of methamphetamine, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and on a Marion County warrant.

• At 6:35 a.m. Kenneth Robert Murray, 43, Spencer, was lodged at the jail for theft.

City Police

Two recent summons were issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 3:51 a.m. Friday, Zachary Secrest, 22, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Angela Taylor.

Originally pulled over for a traffic stop (headlight out) at Walmart, Secrest was issued a summons into court on the charge of possession of marijuana.

• At 4:35 p.m. Dec.1, Kaiglynn Harvey, 19, Greencastle, was cited by Capt. Chris Jomes.

Harvey was stopped on Elm Street and issue a summons into court on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash

• At 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, Barbara A. Moore, 74, Poland, was southbound on U.S. 231 in a 2003 Chevrolet Impala when she hit a deer.

The vehicle was towed. Deputy Randy Patrick estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently performed two medical assists.
