County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 3:31 p.m. Le Anne Herbst, 50, Center Point, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 2:44 p.m. Ashli N. Martin, 33, Bainbridge, was booked in on a Marion County warrant.

City Police

One recent arrest and one citation were reported recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 4 p.m. Saturday, Lorri Gault Knapp, 58, Coatesville, was arrested by Sgt. Ed Wilson for an alleged shoplifting at the Greencastle Walmart.

Authorities allege she took $85.70 worth of merchandise by scanning some items but not scanning others at the U-scan self-checkout lane.

Among the items reportedly taken were hamburger, wine, pop, pet food and cat litter.

Gault Knapp was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a charge of theft.

One citation was issued recently by GPD Sgt. Wilson.

• At 3:34 p.m. Wednesday, Shaylynn Parrish, 25, Greencastle, was stopped on State Road 240 near Warren Drive.

Parrish was cited for having no proof of financial responsibility (no insurance).

City Fire

The Greencastle performed two recent medical assists and had one fire run in which nothing was found burning.
