Neither driver reported injuries.

Soilleux estimated damage at $1,000-$2,500.

• At 1:16 a.m. on Sunday, Kelsey M. Whitaker, 24, Reelsville, was eastbound on County Road 50 North in a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse when she hit a deer.

Deputy Patrick estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

• At 3:04 p.m. on Friday, Susan White, 44, Greencastle, was westbound on State Road 240 in a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer. Jeffrey Demichieli, 58, Indianapolis, was eastbound in a 1999 International straight truck pulling a trailer, both of which were registered to The Hoosier Company.

White told Deputy Tanner Brown that as she passed Demichieli’s vehicle, debris came from the truck and trailer, hitting her car.

She pulled over following the incident and complained of a sore back. She told Brown she would take herself to the ER later.

Demichieli told Brown he received a phone call from another work truck that was following him, telling him debris had been coming from his trailer. He then pulled over.

Demichieli then got into another work vehicle and returned to the scene, finding White’s vehicle on the side of the road.

Brown inspected the trailer roof, saying it looked torn and was missing pieces.

Damage was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

• At 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, Regina D. Wilson, 56, Greencastle, was westbound on County Road 1075 South in a 2005 Freightliner L9500 Series dump truck belong to the Putnam County Highway Department. The truck was loaded with large rock.

As Wilson approached the T-intersection at County Road 525 West, she braked to stop and the brakes failed. As she went through the intersection, she turned hard right to avoid colliding head on with the guardrail.

Instead, the vehicle hit the guardrail with the left front and flipped over, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

Operation Life checked out Wilson and she signed a statement of release.

The guardrail was destroyed, along with a mailbox belonging to a nearby house.

The truck was towed.
