County Jail

Nine people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 8 a.m. Chancelor M. Britton, 28, Rockville, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Sunday

• At 6:03 p.m. Michael L. Phillips, 46, Terre Haute, was booked in for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Saturday

• At 6:03 p.m. Tracie L. Hausdorfer, 48, Spencer, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1:34 p.m. Uriah A. Stickney, 26, Mitchell, was housed at the jail for theft.

• At 12:39 a.m. Jacob E. Williams, 24, Greencastle, was booked in for domestic battery and invasion of privacy.

Friday

• At 10:36 p.m. Zachary S. Hayman, 55, Reelsville, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and invasion of privacy.

• At 6:18 p.m. Trag E. Lansing, 56, Poland, was taken into custody for possession of marijuana.

• At 1:57 p.m. Timothy L. Miller, 49, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and criminal trespassing.

• At 1:51 p.m. Michael A. Kirk, 28, Murrieta, Calif., was booked in for reckless possession of paraphernalia and driving with a Schedule I or II substance in the body.

Sheriff’s Department.

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investgated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 5:27 a.m. on Saturday, Nathaniel M. Thompson, 29, Crawfordsville, was southbound on U.S. 231 just south of County Road 900 North in a 2016 Hyundai Elantra when he hit a deer.

The car sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed.

Deputy Brian Helmer estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently performed two medical assists.
