County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 1:10 a.m. Johnny R. Corder, 27, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Tuesday

• At 8:24 p.m. Paul E. McKinney, 37, Cloverdale, was booked in for domestic battery and criminal mischief.

• At 7:26 p.m. Corrie D. Brown, 29, Spencer, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated and on an out-of-county warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

• At 10:52 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Buffalo Wild Wings for an odor investigation. Units arrived at 10:57 and monitored the restaurant, but no cause for the smell was found. GFD went back into service at 11:13 a.m.

• At 1:22 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a call for a structure fire at 118 S. Main St. in Fillmore. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 1:40 and assisted the Fillmore Community Volunteer Fire Department with extinguishing the fire. A search for possible victims was conducted, but it was determined the property was vacant. Salvage and overhaul was then performed. GFD returned to station at 4:28 a.m.

• At 7:53 a.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 3678 S. CR 200 North. Units arrived on the scene at 7:57 to find that a car had gone off the roadway and crashed into a tree. GFD assisted Operation Life with patient care, and went back into service at 8:24 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed four medical assists and had one disregard during this time.
