Benedict 'Dick' Francis Tucker II

Benedict “Dick” Francis Tucker II, 77, of Greencastle, joined his beloved wife in heaven on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.

Dick was born in New York, N.Y., on Oct. 3, 1942, the son of Benedict F. and Ruth H. (Hammond) Tucker.

He was a graduate of Huntington High School in Huntington, N.Y. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University before enlisting in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Tucker was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church. He retired from Wheaton Van Lines after 25 years of service.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Tucker of Greencastle and Lee Kiger (wife Beth) of Bloomington; two daughters, Amy Dixon (husband Joe) of Bloomington and Tami McGuire (husband Wade) of Fillmore; a brother, Tom Tucker (wife Heather) of Huntington, N.Y.; a sister, Mary Kellner (husband Ted) of Mequon, Wis.; five grandchildren, Michael Tucker (wife Heidi) of Greencastle, Megan Harris (husband Andrew), Payne Stewart and Sadie Stewart, all of Coatesville, and Sam Dixon of Bloomington; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Karen Sue Tucker.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service.
