Putnam Scanner for January 8, 2020

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Monday.

• At 10:44 p.m. Austin C. Pritchard, 25, Bloomington, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction and reckless driving.

• At 7:59 p.m. Jon R. Kennedy, 53, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a handgun without a permit.

• At 11:10 a.m. Tommy D. Wright, 32, Ladoga, was booked in for probation violation.

City Police

One recent arrest and two traffic citations were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 9:02 p.m. Monday, Dominique L. Coffman, 50, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Elsiana Crosby.

Taken into custody on Ridge Avenue near Arlington Street for driving while intoxicated, Coffman was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Her PBT (portable blood test) registered .136 percent (.08 percent is the legal limit in Indiana).

• At 8:13 a.m. Jan. 3 two tickets were issued to the same driver as H. Tom Tomlinson, 41, Fillmore, was cited by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped on Fillmore Road, Tomlinson was ticketed for having no valid driver’s license and for operating a motor vehicle with a fictitious plate.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch:

• At 7:05 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to Druley House for a smoke alarm. Firefighters arrived at approximately the same time and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 7:20 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed two medical assists prior to this dispatch.
