Friday, January 17, 2020

The Area 30 Interlocal Board of Directors held a 12-minute session Tuesday morning to address general updates.

Executive Director Lora Busch first said that Area 30 can receive an increase in additional pupil count funding. This funding could come in at over $1,000 if students enroll into Area 30 in their second year.

The board was also informed that Area 30 was caught up through 2019 with its audits by the State Board of Accounts (SBOA). As such, an exit meeting is set to take place soon.

The board will also vote next month on whether to approve a new textbook debt policy at Area 30.

Finally, Busch also said that eighth-graders through juniors will visit Area 30 soon so that they can consider the programs which are offered. She added that notices will go out soon to parents.

The next meeting of the Area 30 Board of Directors will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 9 a.m. in the board room at the Area 30 Career Center.
