Hendricks deputies looking for car involved in fatal hit-and-run accident

AVON -- The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday on County Road 100 South, just east of County Road 625 Easst near Avon.

Emanuel Charles Walker Jr., 20, of Plainfield, is believed to have been struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on County Road 100 South as he was standing at the road’s edge. Walker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Investigators are looking for a silver Saturn vehicle with front and passenger side damage. The vehicle may be missing a passenger side mirror.
