Judy Janeen Bowen

Judy Janeen Bowen, 79, of Greencastle, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.

She was born to the late Howard and Pearl Mae (Malone) Bloom on March 18, 1940 in Beech Grove, Ind.

Janeen was united in marriage on April 29, 1961 to Gene Bowen. This union was blessed with three children, Howard, Dawneen and Lisa.

She was a homemaker her entire life and loved raising her children.

Janeen was a member of Greencastle Nazarene Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gene Bowen; her loving children, Howard (Sondra) Bowen, Dawneen (David) Hardwick and Lisa (Brannon) Leonard; her brother, Byron Bloom and his wife Mary Ann, her sister-in-law, Gretchen Bloom; and her grandchildren, Christopher (Sara) Bowen, Seth (Nikki) Bowen and Grace Leonard, Alisha (Austin) Shumate and Isaiah and Jazmyne Hardwick; her great grandchildren, Pearl, Oliver, Evie, Abel Bowen, Ayden McGeehan, Kinsley and Tyler Bowen, Willow and Whitley Shumate, as well as numerous very loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janeen is preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Bumgardner; her brother, Gary Bloom, and niece Beth Anjanette Bloom.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143.

Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Byron Bloom officiating. Burial will take place in Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indianapolis, at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
