SPORTS BRIEFS (FREE ACCESS): Eagles planning for girls' regional

South Putnam is making plans for Saturday’s regional girls’ basketball tournament.

Pre-sale tickets are available in the front office for $10.

Also, orders are being taken for sectional championship T-shirts.

The Eagles will play Shenandoah in the first game of the day on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The second game will be at noon between Covenant Christian and Triton Central.

The winners play in the regional championship game, which will start at 8 p.m.

Sports physicals for 2020-21 school year set April 1

South Putnam will be partnering with Cloverdale High School and Hendricks Regional Health to provide low cost athletic physicals for any student interested in participating in athletics for the 2020-2021 school year.

Physical Night will be held Wednesday, April 1, from 6-8 p.m. in the South Putnam Gymnasium.

The cost is $20 per physical. Anyone interested must register for a timeslot via Signup Genius and complete all eligibility forms prior to arrival for the physical.

Athletic forms can be found on the athletic websites of each school, as well as in school offices.
