Charity and Kindness

Tuesday, February 18, 2020
Students at Greencastle High School got their pizza fix Friday afternoon to recognize their donating the most non-perishable food items during the first Holiday Food Drive Challenge held in December. Sponsored by the Greencastle National Guard Armory, the contest saw the junior and senior classes collect 687 items, while their peers at Cloverdale High School collected 466. GHS received a plaque and a traveling trophy, which will be displayed by the winning high school of each yearly challenge. Freshman Kaylen Gregory picks up a slice as her classmates wait in line. While the pizza was meant for the juniors and seniors, everyone was invited to join in to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day a few days early.
