Francis ‘Stan’ Sallier

Francis “Stan” Sallier, 92, of Cloverdale, left this earth to go to his heavenly home on Friday, March 13, 2020.

Stan was born in Fort Wayne on Nov. 14, 1927, the son of Frank and Nellie Sallier.

Mr. Sallier proudly served his country in the United States Navy both in World War II and in the Korean War. He was employed in the telephone industry for over 50 years.

Stan was also a member of the Moose of Greencastle and the VFW of Cloverdale.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth Ann Sallier; his daughter, Pat Sallier, and his son, John Sallier, both of Fort Wayne; his stepdaughter, Tammy Wright (Steve) of Renner, S.D.; a stepson, Rance Ringler of Daytona, Fla.; a stepgrandson, Derrick Ringler (Dejah) of Parker City; and a stepgranddaughter, Megan Palmer (Scott) of Indianapolis; four great-stepgrandsons, Haytham Palmer of Indianapolis, Trayon and Triston Ringler of Parker City, and Jon Wright of Renner, S.D.; and two great-stepgranddaughters, Chalyn Ringler of Palm Bay, Fla., and Ivy Ringler of Parker City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a stepson, Brent Ringler.

No visitation is scheduled as Stan has requested cremation.
