The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a patch and resurfacing project will begin on or after Wednesday, April 1, weather permitting.

Milestone Contractors L.P. was awarded the $11.9 million contract for four separate but related projects.

The contractor plans to begin April 1 on State Road 234 from Kingman east to the Fountain-Montgomery County line. That work is scheduled to last through June 20.

Also, beginning on April 1 is work on U.S. 231 from State Road 32 in Crawfordsville to SR 234 west of Ladoga. This section is scheduled to last through Aug. 6.

Resurfacing on SR 234 from SR 47 through Ladoga will begin on or after May 1 and continue through the end of August.

The contractor will then begin on or after Aug. 1 through Oct. 6 for resurfacing and patching on U.S. 231 from SR 234 at Ladoga to U.S. 36 in Putnam County. This U.S. 231 project does not involve the planned work through downtown Greencastle.

The contractor will be flagging motorists around the area they will be working.
