County Jail

One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 10:40 p.m. Richard A. Romandine, 40, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a warrant for identity deception, false informing and driving with a suspended license.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

• At 11:39 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to Oliver House for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:40 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 11:43 p.m.

• At 1:25 a.m. on Friday, GFD was alerted to an unattended fire at 710 Vale St. Units arrived at the residence at 1:29 and found that debris surrounding the fire had ignited. The fire was put out and the homeowner was advised to stay clear of a power line that was down nearby. GFD went back into service at 2:03 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed three medical assists during this time.
