The family of 36-year-old Ernie “Pokey” Phillips II of Greencastle has posted a $2,700 reward for any information about his recent shooting death in Morgan County.
Phillips was killed in a March 7 home invasion at Paragon. His mother, Debby Phillips, has posted a $2,700 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of her son in the late hours of March 6 or early hours of March 7.
“Someone knows something, and any little thing could help,” Debby Phillips said, urging persons to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
“The ones reading this, please pray that this will be solved and justice will be served ... and share, share, share,” she added in her Facebook post shared with the Banner Graphic.
The reward was originally set at $1,000 but the family has now nearly tripled that amount.
Around 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 7, Morgan County sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the 1600 block of North Olive Church Road in Paragon on a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
