Norma Lois Humphrey

Norma Lois Humphrey, 85, of Danville, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020, at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center.

Norma was born in Putnam County on July 12, 1934, the daughter of Clarence and Arlie (Starwalt) Harvey.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School. She also received her CNA through Ivy Tech College.

Mrs. Humphrey worked as a CNA with Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center for many years. She also worked as office manager of the water, sewer and sanitation department for the City of Brazil for eight years, as well as managed and operated the A to Z Store in Brazil for several years.

She was a member of Moriah Apostolic Tabernacle in Clermont.

Survivors include grandsons Bobby Humphrey (wife Emily) of Indianapolis and Corey Humphrey of Terre Haute; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Carter Humphrey; a sister-in-law, Deloris Harvey of Mishawaka; dear friends Phil and Betty Scholle of Greenwood; companion Elgie Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; a son, Richard W. “Rick” Humphrey; a sister, Waneta Neeley; and three brothers, Wayne Harvey, Robert “Buck” Harvey and Clarence “Jake” Harvey.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
