Martha Cash, 90, died June 26, 2020 in Prescott, Ariz.

She lived in a memory care facility for the past two years and received hospice care there in recent months, including the company of her hospice nurse during her final moments.

Born in Arizona, she left college after the first year and married an Indiana farm boy, returning to rural Indiana with him to begin their life together.

Of late she described the landscape of Indiana as one “without background.” Raised among the mountains and hills of Arizona and California she never grew accustomed to the flat Midwest.

She was the wife of Alva Cash for 66 years. He preceded her in death in 2014.

Martha was a mother, homekeeper, expert craftswoman, skilled furniture refinisher, nascent painter and accomplished seamstress. If you were ever in her home, you surely left feeling welcomed by her hospitality and charmed by her laughter.

She is survived by her sister Dotti, son Mike and wife Joni, son Paul and wife Rhonda, son Phil and husband David, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

No formal service or remembrance is planned at this time. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.
