Donna Jean Ross English

Donna Jean Ross English, 79, of Linton, passed away at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 in Regional Hospital at Terre Haute.

She was born Aug. 18, 1940 in Indianapolis to Marvin Ogle and Ruth (Sloan) Ogle.

Donna attended Greencastle High School.

Donna married her first husband Robert L. Ross on Jan. 5, 1957, and he passed away on April 26, 2011.

She enjoyed antiquing, gardening and canning. Donna was a pastor’s wife for 41 years. She, along with her husband Pastor Robert L. Ross, founded Blessed Hope Baptist Church in 1973, where she was always active serving as a Sunday school teacher, church secretary and church soloist.

Survivors include her children Lori Williford (Chuck) of Indianapolis, Bob Ross (Kim) of Jasonville, Pastor Jerry Ross (Sheryl) of Jasonville and David Ross (Jessica) of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Robert L. Ross and second husband Charles R. English.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 and 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, Aug. 15 at Blessed Hope Baptist Church on State Road 59. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 with Pastor Jerry Ross and Pastor Jerell Clanney officiating.

Donna will be laid to rest at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville.
