County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 4:24 a.m. Kellsey L. Keyt, 24, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia.

Sunday

• At 5:01 p.m. Richard A. Romandine, 41, Indianapolis, was booked in for identity deception, driving with a suspended license and false informing.

• At 2:52 p.m. Kylan M. Hounsell, 24, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of paraphernalia.

• At 1:14 p.m. Michael A. Ramirez, 24, Poland, was taken into custody for unauthorized absence from home detention.

Saturday

• At 7:38 p.m. Bren A. Donaldson, 30, Roachdale, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction.

• At 1:51 p.m. Daniel A. Bruce, 36, Greencastle, was booked in for criminal trespass.

Friday

• At 6:44 a.m. Chasity A. Combs, 36, Rosedale, was lodged at the jail for counterfeiting and driving a vehicle while never having received a license.

Thursday

• At 10:21 p.m. Uriah B. Kortz, 38, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant.

• At 8:20 p.m. Sarah L. Collier, 38, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 5:08 p.m. James R. Webb, 37, New Brighton, Pa., was booked in on a warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five recent dispatches:

• 6:18 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 486 Glenview Dr. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:25 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 6:34 p.m.

• At 9:29 p.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident located near the McClure gas station on Bloomington Street. Units arrived on the scene at 9:32 and performed an extrication. GFD went back into service at 9:41 p.m.

• At 8:49 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to Mansfield House for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:51 and determined the alarm was due to smoking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 8:59 p.m.

• At 5 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to Alpha Tau Omega for a smoke alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:02 and determined the alarm was due to smoking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 5:06 p.m.

• At 7:49 a.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 204 E. Berry St. for a gas odor. Firefighters arrived at 7:52 and monitored the property. It was determined that the water heater was in bad condition. The gas was shut off, and GFD went back into service at 8:14 a.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed 11 medical assists and had one disregard and one false alarm.
