Service and Dedication

Recognizing Jimmy Proctor’s 57 years with the department and his and wife Barbara’s service to the community, the Reelsville/Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department presents him with a plaque during its monthly breakfast Saturday morning. Having been a teacher at Reelsville Elementary School and previously serving as both the department’s fire chief and treasurer, Proctor was also one of the founding members of the Reelsville Water Authority. The plaque shows the Reelsville water tower, which was recently torn down after local water began to be drawn from elsewhere. Gathered with Proctor (sitting) are colleagues, family and former students Roy Haddon, Doug Hansel, Dale Chew (kneeling), Trudy Sadler, Keith Chew, Roy Urton, Eddie Kendall, Martha Kendall, Mary Fielding, Butch Sadler and Debbie Sadler.
