Chocolate Trail event set for Nov. 14

Friday, October 16, 2020

Putnam County Habitat for Humanity will host its second Chocolate Trail fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s event has been modified to match safety guidelines for COVID-19. The changes include an online gift basket auction -- which will be open from Nov. 2 to Nov. 16 -- and outdoor destinations to avoid close-contact situations.

Chocolate Trail 2020 - A Unique Tour of Putnam County History will consist of 10 Putnam County stops where participants can pick up chocolate treats. Along the way, they will be directed to local historic sites.

The site of the Hubbard-Hoagland home build is one of the stops, because it is “history in the making.” There will also be a s’mores station at one of the stops to encourage more families with children to come out and tour the county.

Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/chocolate-trail-2020-a-unique-tour-of-putnam-county.... Each ticket holder will receive an individually wrapped chocolate treat at each stop.

The link for the auction is https://www.biddingowl.com/Auction/home.cfm?auctionID=23912&CFID=18347157&CFTOKE...

All funds from the Chocolate Trail will go to support the 2020 home build. Putnam County Habitat board members appreciate all the businesses that participated last year and those that have already offered to help this year.
