CLOVERDALE — A Reelsville man passed away Thursday night when he wrecked his motorcycle on Burma Road.

Cloverdale Deputy Marshal Levi App told the Banner Graphic Ronald Cummings, 52, appears to have been westbound just west of the entrance to Stardust Hills when he ran off the north side of the roadway.

Dispatched at 7:23 p.m., App arrived on the scene to find Cummings with a faint pulse, but he passed away a short time later.

Deputy Coroner Todd Zeiner is also investigating the death, with an autopsy scheduled Friday morning in Terre Haute.

Also responding to the crash were Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Riley Houghton, Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department, Putnam County EMS and Curtis Towing.

App said police had reports that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
