• At 11:28 a.m. Wednesday, a two-vehicle accident was reported on the east side of the Putnam County Courthouse.

Total damage was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.

• At 5:27 p.m. Sunday, a minor accident was reported on Primrose Lane, just east of Bloomington Street.

A 2013 Subaru Outlander, driven by Patricia Evans, 72, Greencastle, reportedly struck a parked and unoccupied 2005 Chevrolet Impala owned by John Froderman, Greencastle.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated three recent property-damage crashes.

• At 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Kyla M. Reed, 24, Cloverdale, was southbound on County Road 25 West in a 200 Kia Sportage when she swerved to miss an animal in the road.

This caused the vehicle to leave the road and hit a utility pole, causing heavy damage to both the vehicle and the pole.

Reed admitted to having taken multiple prescription drugs and told Deputy Robert Soilleux she normally drives in this condition, as she has a doctor’s note.

After being transported to Putnam County Hospital for medical treatment, she was booked in the Putnam County Jail at 5:53 a.m. for driving while intoxicated.

The vehicle was towed. Soilleux estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.

• At 11:04 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, Joseph J. Wootan, 28, Bloomington, was eastbound on County Road 1025 South near Dick Huffman Covered Bridge in a 2000 Ford F-350 when he left the road and hit some small trees on both sides of the vehicle.

The truck came to rest 30-40 yards off the driving surface, facing back toward the road.

Deputy Randy Patrick arrested Wootan at the scene for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction and carrying a handgun without a license. He was booked in the jail at 3:28 a.m. on Oct. 22.

The truck was towed. Patrick estimated damage at $1,000-$2,500.

• At 6:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, Deputy Soilleux was dispatched to a report of damage to an unoccupied parked vehicle at 3939 N. CR 625 West.

Caleb J. McMullen of Rockville told Soilleux he had parked his 2012 Ford Fusion on the east side of the road when he left for work that morning. Upon returning, he found minor damage, consisting of a large dent and broken tail light.

McMullen said he suspects one of the surrounding neighbors who drives a red vehicle, as there was red paint on the bumper.

Soilleux estimated damage at $1,000-$2,500.
